Everything You Need to Know About The Cheesecake Factory
Following up on my Instagram experiences with The Cheesecake Factory, I’m sharing Everything You Need to Know About The Cheesecake Factory with you all today.
I am in partnership with The Cheesecake Factory for this recap of my time spent at their headquarters, but all opinions and ideas are my own.
The Avocado Egg Rolls are a favorite of mine, too, but after visiting The Cheesecake Factory and learning about their secrets behind the counter, I’ll never be able to eat them quite the same way again. If I’m being really honest with you, when I was originally invited to The Cheesecake Factory, I didn’t give it a second thought about what I would learn.I imagined it would be about their huge menu, their passion for food and people, and the shortcuts they’ve discovered to be the most effective in the restaurant business throughout the world. But I was wrong.Yes, the entire planet, who knew they were spread out all over the place?!
I was completely wrong on one big, MAJOR point.I’m pouring my guts on what I believe you should know based on the insider perspectives and information I was able to witness and hear during my time there.
The Secret You Never Knew About The Cheesecake Factory
According to what I was saying, I anticipated that at some time The Cheesecake Factory will bring up the few shortcuts that they use in order to keep such a massive menu running smoothly.By the way, I did inquire about it, and the purpose is not to overwhelm you, but rather to bring people together. You may bring in a large group of people or just your immediate family, and there is something to suit every taste and budget. You are well aware that Cade and I are passionate about creating chances to bring people together. In the meantime, returning to my narrative, it so happened that we were all standing in the headquarters’ massive kitchen, learning about how they test and retest recipes on a daily basis, year after year, to ensure that they are as wonderful as they can be.
There are new brands and varieties of ingredients that have been discovered, and instead of simply switching to something better, they test something small like parmesan in every recipe that it is used in to ensure that it is superior to what was previously used, or they work out the kinks in old recipes. And then they said that they did so because they knew how much effort they had put into their recipes, which were all handcrafted, prepared from scratch, and produced with love. What?!It was further explained by the chef that they aren’t bringing in anything prepared in advance; even the egg rolls are freshly made to order, and the burgers are softly formed rather than buying them pre-shaped, even if they are fresh, because doing so might overwork the flesh. You guys, The Cheesecake Factory is gigantic, they have locations all over the world, and their menu is the most extensive I’ve ever seen.
They are even shredding cheese for your Chicken Madeira right in front of your eyes!Made with fresh ingredients and from scratch! You’ll never be able to eat another avocado egg roll without remembering that experience! After all, the initial owner had no experience in the restaurant industry and thus began cooking from scratch. When news spread that frozen items could be ordered in and reheated, he decided that there was no reason to modify something that was already working for him.And we wholeheartedly agree.
Continue to provide real cuisine, and the crowds will keep coming.

Everything is produced from scratch and is made from scratch every time.EVERYTHING.Every day of the year, their test kitchen is hard at work searching for the greatest ingredients so that they may switch out the salmon if they discover a superior product that is both safe and ethical, among other considerations. When it comes to the show, I’m the newest die-hard fan, and I can’t wait to hear what you guys suggest we should order when we attend in a few weeks.GO!

Is It Safe to Eat Cheesecake That’s Been Left Out of the Refrigerator?
You take your newly made cheesecake out of the oven, set it on the counter to cool, and then forget about it for the rest of the morning. So, is it still safe to consume this food?A rich slice of traditional New York-style cheesecake is the perfect way to cap off a satisfying meal on any occasion.Of course, cheesecake is best savored cool and served immediately after being removed from the refrigerator, but can it go bad if left out overnight? We regret to inform you that the answer is affirmative.
Serving cheesecake that has been sitting out for an extended amount of time is not recommended.Foods containing eggs and milk, such as pumpkin pie, custard pie, and cheesecake, must first be cooked to a safe internal temperature of between 150°F and 160°F before being served or served cold. After they have been cooked and allowed to cool to room temperature, they must be refrigerated (about 1 hour).Because eggs and milk include a large amount of protein and moisture, when these baked goods are kept at room temperature, the conditions are ideal for bacteria to thrive and grow. Most other cakes, cookies, and breads do not need to be refrigerated unless they include a perishable filling or icing.
In accordance with the Food Keeper App from the USDA, cheesecake should be consumed within 5 to 7 days of being refrigerated.Photograph courtesy of Kritsada Panichgul However, if you mistakenly went to bed while your cheesecake was still cooling on the counter, we regret that we cannot give you better news because devouring it might put you at danger of disease. When it comes to cheesecake that has already been cooked and refrigerated, the USDA recommends leaving it out for no more than two hours to prevent falling into the ″danger zone.″ If you don’t want the worry of squandering that deliciously rich and creamy handmade cheesecake, put it in the refrigerator as soon as everyone has finished their slices or after it has cooled enough after baking to be chilled.
How Long Does Cheesecake Last in the Fridge?
Who doesn’t like a good cheesecake? It’s sweet, rich, and surprisingly substantial for such a small dessert. What should you do with leftover dessert if you’ve purchased a huge quantity or prepared a complete cake and have a lot of leftovers? What’s more, does cheesecake go bad if left out for too long?Or perhaps you’re throwing a modest get-together for a few close pals in the middle of the workweek.
And while they like your cheesecake, you just do not have the time to prepare it on the same day as the party. In order to save time, you’re considering creating it ahead of time, but you’re not sure if freezing it would be effective or not.To understand more about cheesecake storage, shelf life, freezing, and how to prevent cheesecake from going bad in any situation, continue reading this article.
How to Store Cheesecake
Because cream cheese (or cottage cheese or ricotta, depending on the recipe) is the primary ingredient in cheesecake, I’m quite certain you’re aware that it should be stored in the refrigerator. In order to prevent it from absorbing aromas from the refrigerator and from drying out, it should be covered.Use a cake carrier to transport it, or cut up any leftovers into smaller pieces and store them in airtight containers to protect it.Alternatively, aluminum foil or plastic wrap can be used to protect the cake from damage. If you’re serving the cheesecake with a topping that doesn’t keep well in the fridge, it’s best to place the cake in the fridge without the topping and apply the final touches immediately before serving.
Can You Freeze Cheesecake?
As you might anticipate, cheesecake in the fridge only lasts a few days before it starts to lose its freshness. So, if you want to retain it for a longer period of time, freezing it is the ideal option.Furthermore, cheesecake is one of the cakes that freezes very well, and many bakeries recommend freezing any leftovers after baking. It goes without saying that the way your cheesecake freezes is determined by the ingredients you use and the recipe you or your bakery follows. To put it another way, not all cheesecakes are made equal when it comes to the freezing process.
However, as a general rule of thumb, substantial cheesecakes without delicate toppings will typically freeze quite nicely.Tip Best results are obtained by freezing the cupcakes with no frosting before adding the frosting just before serving the treat. When it comes to freezing the cake, the process is really straightforward. The cake must be wrapped in something freezer-safe in order to prevent it from drying out or becoming brittle due to the freezing temperature. It may be anything from an airtight container to a freezer bag to a double layer of aluminum foil to a double layer of aluminum foil.
Just be careful not to compress the pieces as you’re wrapping them.In order to defrost the cake, place it in the refrigerator the night before you plan to serve it, preferably overnight. At the absolute least, make sure you have it a few hours before you need it.The final point to mention is that, as long as the cheesecake has been thawed in the refrigerator, it may be refrozen if necessary.
How Long Does Cheesecake Last
Cheesecake, as you are probably aware, is produced from dairy products, namely cream cheese.Eggs are also used in a large number of dishes.Because these components are fragile, the cake does not keep its freshness for an extended period of time.In general, store-bought cheesecake has a shelf life of 5 to 7 days in the refrigerator, unless the packaging label specifies a shorter storage duration.Store in mind that when it comes to homemade cheesecake, it is best not to keep it in the refrigerator for more than 5 days.
Alternatively, if the recipe calls for it or if there are certain particularly perishable items, you can make it shorter.Related: How long do brownies remain in the refrigerator? If you need to keep cheesecake fresh for a longer period of time, freezing it is the best option. The cake should hold its freshness and flavor for at least a few months if stored in the freezer.Tip To ensure that your cheesecake will freeze well for your guests, it is recommended to freeze a tiny portion of the cheesecake ahead of time and see how it turns out.
You will discover what to expect once the cake has been thawed and whether or not the cake is excellent enough to offer to your friends in this manner. Please keep in mind that the time frames shown above are simply approximations. In general, store-bought varieties keep a little longer than handmade varieties since store-bought varieties typically contain preservatives, whereas homemade varieties do not contain preservatives.
How to Tell If Cheesecake Has Gone Bad
A solid technique to detect if cheesecake has gone bad is difficult to come across, unfortunately.Obviously, if there is mold, discoloration, or an unpleasant odor, you should toss it out immediately. However, such indicators normally appear after the cake has been stored for at least 2 weeks, and sometimes much longer. That implies that the best way to go about this is to simply chuck out any handmade cheesecake that has been sitting out for more than 5 to 7 days, and any store-bought cheesecake that has been sitting out for more than 7 to 9 days.Yes, even if it appears to be in wonderful condition.

What’s the Difference Between Baked and No-Bake Cheesecake?
- The most significant distinction is that there are no eggs in a no-bake cheesecake, and a no-bake cheesecake ″sets″ after it has been chilled in the refrigerator for many hours. A baked cheesecake, on the other hand, has eggs in the recipe, after which the cheesecake is cooked in a water bath and then chilled in the refrigerator. The textures of these two cheesecakes are diametrically opposed to one another. With the no-bake variation, the cake is much softer and nearly mousse-like in texture. Both of these dishes are really delectable. If you prefer a baked cheesecake, I have over 20 recipes for you to choose from. Here is the recipe for my vanilla bean baked cheesecake. Let’s get down to business with this recipe.
Ingredients
- When it comes to the crust, I prefer graham cracker crust, but you could also use crushed Oreos or Biscoff biscuits if you prefer. Graham Cracker Crumbs (also known as Graham Cracker Crumbs)
- Grated or Caster Sugar
- unsalted butter, melted
- vanilla extract
- Because this is a no-bake cheesecake, no eggs will be needed in the preparation of this dish. We’ll use whipped cream and cream cheese to get the light yet thick cheesecake texture we’re going for. Heavy whipping cream is used in this recipe. Whisk the cream until firm peaks form, as this will aid in setting the cheesecake. Cream Cheese should be totally softened to room temperature before using. If in doubt, allow the cream cheese to soften for a few minutes longer. For the sake of expediency, I chopped my block of cream cheese into bits before beginning.
- Confectioners’ sugar or powdered sugar
- medium lemon, zest and juice This is the Microplane Zester that I use, and it makes zesting SOOO effortless
- it almost seems like you’re zesting butter!
- Sour Cream
- Pure Vanilla Extract
- Toasted Almonds
- You may serve the cheesecake simple or with a topping, but I prefer to add something to it. A must-have, but you may also include: Salted Caramel
- fresh berries
- blueberry or cherry pie filling
- lemon curd
- or any combination of the above.
It is a science to bake successfully, and I strongly advise purchasing a kitchen scale in order to attain the best results possible. This OXO Kitchen Scale is the one I use, and it is also the one that Cook’s Illustrated recommends as the best overall kitchen scale. Consider this: what one person scoops into a ″cup″ is very different from what another person scoops into the same ″cup.″
How To Make No-Bake Cheesecake
- First and foremost, we require a pie crust!
- You may either purchase graham cracker crumbs from a shop or prepare your own, which is what I prefer to do.
- Graham crackers are pulsed in a food processor until they are finely ground into a fine crumb.
- In a large mixing basin, combine the crumbs with the sugar and whisk until equally blended.
- Pour in the melted butter and mix until everything is well-combined.
The crust mixture should have the appearance of wet sand.Lightly coat a 9-inch springform pan with nonstick cooking spray; this is only to guarantee that the cheesecake does not stick to the pan when you are ready to serve it.Place the crust in the pan and gently push the crumbs into a uniform layer up the sides of the pan with the bottom of a measuring cup/glass.
Repeat with the remaining crust. While you are preparing the filling, place the pan in the freezer to firm up.Please, please, please make sure that the cream cheese has been softened to room temperature before beginning to create the cheesecake filling.
- The cheesecake will be lumpy if the cream cheese has not been sufficiently softened before it is combined with the other ingredients.
- A large mixing basin using an electric handheld mixer or the bowl of an electric stand mixer with a whisk attachment, whisk the heavy cream until it forms firm peaks, about 5 minutes.
- Clean a clean basin and place it next to the dirty whipped cream bowl.
Add the softened cream cheese and stir until well-combined.For 1-2 minutes, beat the cream cheese until it is smooth and creamy.Scrape down the sides of the bowl to make sure that all of the cream cheese is well combined with the other ingredients. In a separate bowl, whisk together the confectioner’s sugar and lemon zest until the powdered sugar is well combined.I prefer to add the lemon zest now so that the oils may be released and incorporated into the cream cheese for the best taste possible. Then stir in the lemon juice, sour cream, and vanilla extract, scraping down the edges of the bowl to ensure that everything is uniformly distributed throughout the batter.
Add half of the whipped cream to the cream cheese mixture and gently fold it in with a spatula until it is fully incorporated.Add the remaining whipped cream and gently fold it in again until it is well included.Take care not to overfold the cream, since this may cause it to deflate.Fill the cheesecake crust with the cheesecake filling and bake for 30 minutes.Spread it out evenly with an offset spatula to make a uniform layer.Wrap the cheesecake in aluminum foil or plastic wrap and leave it in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours, if not longer.
- I normally use aluminum foil instead of plastic wrap since I find that plastic wrap tends to adhere to the top of the cheesecake.
- When the cheesecake has finished chilling and setting in the refrigerator, remove it from the refrigerator and carefully release the cheesecake from the springform pan.
- Making use of a spatula, release the crust from the bottom of the pan, and then using two large spatulas, transfer the cheesecake from its bottom-of-pan position to a serving dish You may now decorate the top with fruit, caramel, pie filling, or leave it plain.
- After that, add some freshly whipped cream on top.

- Spread the cheesecake filling into the prepared crust using an offset spatula to get a uniform layer of cheesecake filling. Placing the cheesecake in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours or overnight will help it to firm up even more.
Topping
The cheesecake should be released from the springform pan and transferred from the bottom of the pan to a serving dish by using a spatula.
