  • When the cake is finished baking, remove it from the pan and allow it to cool flat side down.
  • When the rounded tops have cooled, cut them with one cut being slightly larger than the other.
  • Keep the trimmings for yourself.
  • The end of the cake should be cut to prevent it from rolling over.
  • Set the cake with a larger cut on the board, fill it, and then place the other half on top of it to finish it off.
  • Frost the cake with buttercream and place it in the refrigerator to firm the frosting before serving.
  • Cover the cake with white fondant once it has been refrigerated.
  • Using pink fondant, create a long string and adhere it to the bottom border.

Let’s get started creating the teapot lid, which will be placed on top of the teapot cake.Cut a 4″ circle out of pink fondant (I used a cookie cutter for this).Take the cake trimmings and stack them one on top of the other, gluing them together using buttercream to hold them together.This should be placed on top of the disc.Cover the trimmings with a sheet of pink fondant that has been rolled out.

  1. To adhere the top fondant to the bottom fondant, wet the fondant with water.
  2. Make use of your hands to assist form it.
  3. Stack the lid of the teapot on top of the main body of the teapot and set aside.
  • Decorate the teapot lid with white butterceam dots to make it more festive.
  • Using white fondant, make a little ball and place it to the very top of the cake with a toothpick.
  • Attach the teapot’s handle and spout to the base of the pot.
  • Flowers should be used to decorate the area where they are united (this also hides any imperfections).
  • To decorate the side of the cake, cut an oval plaque from pink fondant and apply it with water.
  • White buttercream is used to decorate the cake with the word ″Mom″ (or any other name).
  • And there you have it!
