  3. You are not attempting to cook your lace; rather, you are attempting to accelerate the drying time.
  4. Simply leave it to air dry for a few minutes after removing it from the oven if the lace is still tacky when you remove it.
  5. After the initial heating in the oven, the drying process will have gotten underway.

Additionally, adding a second layer on top of the first dried layer that is a 50/50 mix of pearlised Cake Lace and Original Mix Cake Lace will soften the pearlised cake lace even further.If you’re looking to achieve a more flexible look with the lace, this will help you achieve that.How do you get the cake lace to dry’stiff,’ for example, so that it can be used for 3D butterflies?You must use the pearlized Cake Lace mix for this project.Any pearlized color will dry firmer, allowing you to create lace that’stands up’ and can support its own weight as you stitch it together.
