Place a small section of tissue paper in the bottom of the box and lay pops (always in treat bags) in alternating directions. Depending on the size, I can get 3-4 in each box. When you close the box, the tissue they’re wrapped in will keep them secure. You just don’t want them moving around in the box.

- 4Cut a length of foam to fit into the container of your choice. Cut it to the appropriate size for your container using a serrated knife. Push it into the container until it is tightly fit, but allow a little amount of space at the top for a filling agent. For a more firm fit, use poster putty or double-sided tape to attach the edges of the foam to the container
- 5cover the top of the foam with a colorful filler to finish the project. You don’t want your guests to be able to see the foam since it will detract from the overall tone of your exhibit. Instead, use a bright filler material to decorate the top of the cake! Multiple layers are necessary to ensure that your filler does not show through even after the cake pops have been removed. - Make sure not to handle the cake pop by the cake portion. It’s possible that you’ll accidently fracture or squash it

- 1 To contain your cake pops, use a vessel such as a vase, glass, or bowl. If possible, use beautiful bowls or glasses that have a charming or intriguing pattern on them. Wrapping paper, yarn, and ribbon can also be used to embellish the outside of the container’s exterior. Please feel free to use more than one container if the pops do not fit in one. This display option may be displayed in virtually any type of strong container! Besides bowls and glasses, you may also use candle holders and vases to decorate your table.
- If you want your guests to be able to see the supporting material within the container, choose a clear container. In every other case, choose an opaque choice.

- 1 Measure and cut a piece of plastic wrap to fit over a cake pop, making sure it is the correct size. Cut an approximately 3 by 3 inch (7.6 cm x 7.6 cm) square from a length of translucent plastic wrap or cellophane that has been laid out on a work surface. Place the center of the square on top of the cake pop and delicately crumple it around the edges to coat the entire item with frosting. You want to have at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) of excess material around the stick so that you can tie it off properly later on. If your first square is too tiny, make your next one a bit larger by cutting it a little longer. Continue to play about with the proportions until you find something you like
- Colored cellophane can be used to add an extra splash of color.
- You may also use little cellophane bags to save time if you’re short on time.
- 2Continue to cut plastic squares to fit all of your popsicle molds together. Start by unwrapping the first piece and placing it on top of the cellophane. With your scissors, cut around it to produce another square of the same size as the first. Repeat the process of cutting out squares until you have enough to make all of the cake pops.
- 3 Wrap each cake pop in plastic wrap and tie it together with a twist tie to keep it from falling apart. Crinkle the plastic square around the stick of a cake pop once it has been slipped over the top. Twist a twist tie around the plastic wrap while holding the stick in one hand. Make sure the ends are twisted together. They should be bent down following the length of the stick so that they merge in with the stick. Continue to twist-tie the plastic wrap around the cake pops until they are completely coated.
4 Tie bows on the ends of your twist ties to add a little extra flair. If you wish to add a splash of color to each twist tie before wrapping it around the cellophane, tie a little ribbon around the twist tie first.Basically, you only need to cut a ribbon that is around 5 inches (13 cm) in length and tie it in a nice bow in the middle of the twist tie.Choose a color for your ribbon that corresponds to the theme of your event, such as red for a Christmas party or white for a wedding or bridal shower, to avoid clashing with the decor.
- 5 Place the cake pops on a stand or spread them out on a plate to display. As soon as your cake pops have been coated, you may arrange them in any way you choose. You can arrange them on a plate or platter if you choose because wrapping them prevents the icing and embellishments from peeling off. You may also put them on a stand so that they are upright. If you prefer to arrange your cake pops on a flat surface, make sure to spread them out evenly and in one or two layers for the greatest appearance.
- Select a beautiful dish or tray to serve on. Its hue should be in keeping with the subject of your gathering.

Shipping Sweets and Traveling Treats
Making and sharing treats with friends and family throughout the Christmas season is a joyous occasion to behold.Cake pops, on the other hand, are one of my favorite delicacies to give as gifts. However, they are equally simple to ship and deliver to your loved ones and friends.I’m frequently asked what the best method is for packaging them so that they arrive safely at their destination.Consequently, when the chance to work with Scotch® Brand arose, I decided to share with you precisely how I’d sent them in the past to demonstrate my expertise. But, before we can ship, we’ll need some cake pops to dip in a chocolate sauce.
That is, if you’re talking about very gorgeous candy-themed cake pops.If you haven’t tried creating cake pops before, here are some simple guidelines to get you started.Because the cake is blended with icing and entirely enrobed in candy coating, they will remain fresh and delicious for several days after they are baked and decorated. To transform plain round cake pops into hard candy, simply draw swirls and pinwheel motifs on the covering with edible-ink writing pens to create the illusion of hard candy. In order for you to see where I’m heading, I’ve added a little more color to the pops, but the main point is that sketching on the pops will assist you enormously with the following phase.
- Fill the sketched shape with a thin layer of corn syrup painted with a little brush; sprinkle colored sanding sugar on top and it will adhere to the shape like glue.
- If the sanding sugar starts to stray from the lines you’ve made, you can simply force it back into place using a toothpick or your fingers.
- The sanding sugar effect is one of my favorites since it gives the pops a shiny and sweet appearance.
- It’s really cool!
- You may also use a toothpick to put candy coating over the sketched form before adding the sanding sugar, although this sometimes result in a little more bulk, and I prefer it when the pattern is a little flatter.
- Remember to work over a bowl while applying the sanding sugar so that any that does not adhere may be collected and reused later on in the process.
- And there you have it!
- The most adorable candy cake pops ever.
- Oh, wait…
- this isn’t the cutest one yet.
- Fold the treat bag in half and cut a small opening out of the middle or side of the bag, rather than utilizing the treat bag as it was meant to be used.
- The pop should be inserted through the aperture, stick first, then through the bag.
- Use twist ties (cut into 1 1/2-inch portions) to secure the cake pops on each side once they have been assembled.
- Okay, now they’re the cutest thing on the planet.
- The use of adorable small treat bags really seals the deal and gives the impression that these cake pops are sweets.
- And here’s how I package them for you.
- Even though there may be a more efficient method, this method has worked for me every time I’ve mailed them in the past.
- Everything is tucked away and ready to go.
- I make cake pops with 6-inch sticks and 1 lb.
- candy boxes (which are approximately 7″ x 3.25″ x 1.75″ in size).
- Place a tiny sheet of tissue paper in the bottom of the box and arrange the pops (which should always be in treat bags) in alternate directions on the tissue paper.
- Depending on the size, I can fit three to four in one container.
- When you seal the box, the tissue that has been used to protect them will keep them safe.
- You just do not want them to be able to move around in the box.
- So let’s give the boxes a little facelift so they can make someone’s day a little brighter.
Given that this Scotch® Expressions Glitter Tape has a similar appearance to sanding sugar, it seemed like a good idea to carry through the colors when packaging them up safe, sound, and really adorable. In order to create a cute garland banner, fold the tape over the twine and clip the ends or cut the tape into pennant shapes.Adorable! The next step is to cover them in bubble wrap and fasten them with tape.
- Then place them in a bigger box that has been lined with additional packing material on the bottom, top, and sides.
- In accordance with how much excess space you have, you can use more bubble wrap, paper packaging, peanuts, or tissue paper, as previously said.
- When everything is taped up and secured, you should not be able to feel or hear the contents of the container moving around.
- Then your treats are ready to be shipped out the next day.
- You may also choose 2-day shipping, but I wouldn’t recommend waiting any longer than that.
- Fudge, cereal treats, marshmallows, caramels, sugar cookies, and caramel corn are some of the other little sweets that are ideal for shipping.
- Furthermore, if you want to send something via normal mail, fudge would be ideal.
Wait a minute…Are you returning home for the holidays?Do you need some pointers on how to transport your treats?I’ve had to travel with cake pops on multiple occasions, and this is my go-to traveling bag for them.
Yep.It’s a cooler.Approximately 13″ X 9″ X 9″ in dimension, it will contain nine of these sweet boxes with a little extra room on the sides and bottom.I’m confident that I can fit at least 36 cake pops inside.Furthermore, using tape to adorn the boxes is ideal since it is flat and will not be harmed during shipment.
What are the advantages? The edges of the cooler absorb the brunt of any unintentional bangs, it fits neatly beneath the airplane seat in front of me, it has a handle, and people tend to move to the side when they see me lugging a tiny red cooler about with me.Perfect!Anyway, I hope this has been of some use to you if you are considering exporting or transporting your delectable sweets this Christmas season! So that’s how I ship, but it’s not the only thing I do…It’s a fun contest sponsored by Scotch® Brand to see how well you can wrap a gift.

How to Make Cake Pops
- One of the best parts about making cake pops is that you can use your favorite cake recipe or boxed cake mix, as well as your preferred buttercream or readymade icing, to make them. You have complete control over the procedure and flavor! To create cake pops, you’ll need a few ingredients as well as certain supplies, which are as follows: Make a cake of your choice—a boxed cake mix would suffice for this purpose.
- Buttercream frosting—homemade or store-bought will do
- For dipping, use candy melts or chocolatealte.
- Sprinkles, shredded coconut, crumbled cookies, candies, and other such embellishments
Step 1: Bake Your Cake
It should go without saying that the cake is the building block of every cake pop creation. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can create your cake from scratch (we have a plethora of handmade cake recipes), but you can also use your favorite boxed cake mix as a fallback option. If you’re using a cake mix, simply bake it in a 13×9-inch baking pan; you won’t be crumbling it, so there’s no need to get creative.Consider our editors’ favorite yellow cake mix, chocolate cake mix, and confetti cake mix (the latter of which is a bit surprising!) when looking for a nice cake mix.Generally speaking, a box of cake mix or a 13-inch cake recipe will generate around 48 cake pops.If you don’t want to make such a huge amount of cake, you may freeze the leftovers.
Step 2: Whip Up the Frosting
Allow yourself some time to prepare a frosting while your cake is chilling (yes, you must wait until the cake is completely cold). Cake pops are made with a simple buttercream icing, which works nicely. Flavor this buttercream with your favorite extract or even some chocolate cocoa powder for an extra chocolaty treat! If you’re in a hurry, store-bought frosting will do the trick as well.
Step 3: Crumble the Cake and Make Your Mix
Agnes Kantaruk / Photo courtesy of Shutterstock It’s time to get started on the cake pop mix.In a large mixing bowl, crumble the baked and cooled cake until it is crumbled.Make sure not to over-crumble your cake; coarse crumbs (about the size of peas) are plenty. Then, adding a quarter cup at a time, carefully incorporate your frosting until the mixture stays together when squeezed together. The amount of frosting you use will depend on the size of the cake (some cakes are dryer or lighter than others).Don’t go crazy with the icing; you just want the mixture to be creamy enough so that it can be formed into balls.
Step 3: Shape the Cake Pops
Agnes Kantaruk / Photo courtesy of Shutterstock As soon as you’ve achieved the desired consistency, you’ll want to roll the batter into the iconic cake pop form to finish it off.You may use a cookie scoop to ensure that the cookies are of the same size (psst…did you know this is the greatest location to find them?) Alternatively, a tablespoon can be used.Once you’ve gathered them up, simply roll them around in your palms to form a (almost) perfect spherical.Once that is completed, place the cookies in the refrigerator for at least four hours to solidify, or place them in the freezer for approximately 30 minutes. This is an extremely critical step because if you attempt to dip your pops before they have firmed up, they can easily slide off the stick or disintegrate apart.
You can also make the cake pops ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator overnight before dipping them in the chocolate. After they have firmed up, just store them in an airtight container to prevent them from drying out.
Step 4: Coat the Pops
Agnes Kantaruk / Photo courtesy of Shutterstock Microwave the chocolate or candy melts until they are completely smooth. It’s useful to have a melting pot on hand for dipping cake pops (or chocolate-covered strawberries or candies) since it preserves candy melts and chocolate at the proper temperature for coating at the proper temperature for coating. Each ball should have a stick gently pressed into it.Then dip each ball into the sugary delicious coating and swirl it around until well covered.Remember to carefully tap the pop on the side of the dish to remove any extra coating before serving.Additionally, you may smooth off any drips or rough edges with your finger or the back of a spoon, if need be.
While the chocolate is still tacky, you may decorate it with whatever kind of sprinkles or decorations you choose.Fill a large styrofoam block with the completed pops and set them aside to cool completely and firm before diving in.
