    Have you ever wanted to bake a cake but realized that you only had a microwave at your disposal? A basic mug cake is all that most people want for a birthday celebration, but I’ve got a Microwave Cake recipe that will turn up a beautifully moist layer cake that’s suitable for a small birthday gathering.     What do you bake a microwave cake in?

    This cake can be baked in a standard 8 × 8 square baking dish, if desired. Cakes and casseroles made in the microwave are always a favorite of mine. If you have 9-inch round silicone cake pans, you may also use them to build a circular layer cake out of this.

    Can you make a microwave cake from a box mix?

    Yes!Using both conventional 15-16 oz cake mix boxes such as Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker as well as 9 oz boxes of Jiffy Golden Yellow Cake, I’ve successfully completed this project.With the Jiffy Golden Yellow Cake Mix, you’ll need one box for each tier, so a two-layer cake will require two boxes of Jiffy Golden Yellow Cake.If you’re using the 15-16 ounce cake mixes, you’ll only need one box to make two layers of cake.

    11. If you’re using the second half of the batter from a larger cake mix, repeat the process of layering the parchment paper and the batter until the dish is halfway full.
    12. Microwave the cake for 6-7 minutes, then check to see whether it is fully cooked.
    13. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
    14. While the second layer is cooling, begin icing the first layer
    15. add the second layer and continue frosting until the cake is completely covered with frosting.

My oven is set to a minimum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of 250 degrees Celsius. Temperature intervals in your convection microwave ovens can be as small as 10 degrees, for example, 180 degrees, 190 degrees, 200 degrees, and so on, as in LG microwaves, or they can be as large as 20 degrees, for example, 180 degrees, 200 degrees, 220 degrees, and so on, as in Samsung microwave ovens. Pre-heating: You must pre-heat your oven in the same way that you would pre-heat an OTG. Pre-heating is the process of pre-heating your oven to the proper temperature before placing your cake pan with the batter / cookie sheet inside it. For example, the recipe specifies that the oven be preheated to 200 degrees C. When opposed to the 20-25 minutes required by an OTG, your microwave takes around 5 minutes or less to pre-heat. Consequently, you may pre-heat the microwave even if you are just 5 minutes away from completing your cookie dough/cake batter preparation process. In order to ensure that the short metal rack is solidly placed in the center of the oven (please note that you will not be placing the cake tin inside at this time), close the oven door and choose ‘Convection’ on the oven’s control panel. By default, the temperature will be shown as 180 degrees Celsius.
