Exploring Chantilly

In Chantilly, there are a variety of sights and points of interest to see, but the town is most renowned for two things: the Château de Chantilly and whipped cream, to name a few of things.A ‘town of art and history’, Chantilly is described as such on the website. Many people will stop at the castle as their first point of call, and many will not go any further than the castle. It is important to understand that the castle is divided into two distinct sections: the Petit Chateau, built in the 16th century, and the Chateau Neuf, built in the 19th century as a considerable reconstruction of an earlier chateau that stood on this site before to the Revolution. There is a great lot to see both outside and within the Chateau de Chantilly, including two prominent museums, the stables, and the 115 hectares of gardens and parks, so plan on spending a significant amount of time there during your stay.Guests may tour the Petit Chateau and see the living quarters as they were furnished in the 18th century, while visitors to Chateau Neuf can see the art collections, library, and church.

Within walking distance of the castle, you may explore the stunning French-style formal gardens as well as the extremely vast park that surrounds the property, which includes gardens and huge parks to discover. The most notable aspect is the enormous number of lakes and ponds in the area, which means that you will frequently see the buildings mirrored in the water – which is extremely attractive.Guests may also explore the Condé Museum, which is housed within the castle. With a huge collection of art dating largely from the 17th to 19th centuries, this museum is well renowned for its collection of paintings by painters from the 18th to 19th centuries, such as Delacroix and Corot, which are on display there.See our guide to the Chateau de Chantilly for more information.

  9. then remove from heat.
  10. In a separate bowl, combine the berries and toss to coat them with the sugar mixture.
  11. Continue In the meantime, simmer until the berries begin to soften and release juice, about 10 minutes more. Utilize a spatula to lightly crush the strawberries.
  12. After 3-4 minutes, when the fluids have began to thicken and thicken more, remove the berry filling from the heat and place it in the refrigerator to cool completely. Pour the mixture into a separate bowl and place it in the refrigerator until it is cool
  13. Using a mixer, whip the cheeses for the Chantilly Cream:
  14. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese and cream cheese and whisk just until creamy. Set aside. Make sure not to overmix, otherwise your mascarpone cheese will become thin and runny.
  15. Slowly Include the Heavy Whipping Cream: Working in small batches (beginning with a few teaspoons and gradually adding more at a time), gradually incorporate the heavy whipping cream into the cheese mixture using a whisk attachment on medium speed until the cream is well incorporated. Continue to add the cream and mix until the cream has been completely incorporated. This should be done gently and in little amounts at a time in order to avoid your cream mixture becoming lumpy.
  16. Add the sweeteners: After everything has been thoroughly blended, add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Increase the pace of the whip and whip it until it reaches firm peaks.
  17. Cake Assemblage: Each layer of the cake must be totally cooled before it can be assembled. Place the first cake on a serving plate or a circle of cardboard to serve as a base. Using a pastry bag, create a dam with whipped cream around the outside of the cake and fill it half way with the berry filling. On top of the berry filling, pipe a thin layer of whipped cream and smooth it out evenly. Add the second layer of cake on top, followed by another layer of berry filling and whipped cream
  18. Finish with the Final Layer and Fresh Berries: Place the final layer of cake on top, followed by the remaining whipped cream to frost the cake. Pipe swirls on top of the cake with any leftover whipped cream if there is some. Fresh berries can be used to decorate the top of the cake.
  19. Whether to serve or store: The cake should be kept refrigerated until it is time to serve it.

Cakes should be leveled for easy layering: I recommend that you use a large serrated knife to cut away the domes off the tops of the cakes so that they are completely flat. Although these cakes don’t have a very high dome, I like to make sure they’re perfectly flat in order to stack them. • Slowly pour in the heavy whipping cream: When creating Chantilly cream, it’s important to add the whipped cream in modest amounts, a little at a time, to avoid the cream becoming too thick. In this way, lumps are prevented from forming in the mixture, and the texture is kept smooth and creamy.

  • 10-ounce (283-gram) tub of room-temperature cream cheese
  • 3-and-a-quarter cups (780mL) heavy whipping cream, chilled
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • fresh berries for garnishing and decorating
  • 1 3/4 cups (201g) powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare three 8-inch cake pans by lining the bottoms with parchment paper circles and lightly greasing the sides. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt
  3. set aside.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter, oil, sugar, and vanilla extract and beat on high speed for 2 minutes, or until the mixture is light in color and fluffy. Do not shortchange yourself on the creaming time. You should be able to see a difference in color and texture.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition until the mixture is largely mixed. Scrape down the edges of the bowl as necessary to ensure that all of the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  6. Half of the dry ingredients should be added to the batter and mixed until largely incorporated.
  7. Slowly pour in the milk and stir until everything is properly mixed.
  8. Mix in the rest of the dry ingredients until everything is well-combined and smooth. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as necessary to ensure that all of the ingredients are well combined. Don’t overmix the batter

  11. Remove the cakes from the oven and set them aside to cool for about 2-3 minutes before transferring them to cooling racks to finish cooling.

  18. When the cake layers and filling have had time to cool, it is time to assemble the cake. To begin, whisk the cream until stiff peaks form. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese and cream cheese and whisk just until creamy. Set aside. It is important not to overmix because this can thin down your mascarpone cheese and make it runny.
  19. Combine the heavy whipping cream with the cheeses by adding tiny amounts at a time (start with a few teaspoons and gradually adding more at a time) while using your whisk attachment on medium speed to combine the cream into the cheeses. Continue to add the cream and mix until the cream has been completely incorporated. This should be done gently and in little amounts at a time in order to avoid your cream mixture becoming lumpy.
  20. After everything has been thoroughly blended, add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Increase the pace of the whip and whip it until it reaches firm peaks.
  21. To assemble the cake, use a broad serrated knife to cut away the domes from the tops of the cakes, allowing the cakes to be completely flat. Although these cakes don’t have a particularly high dome, I want to make certain that they are perfectly flat. First, place a serving plate or a cardboard cake circle on which you will serve the cake.
  22. Using a pastry bag fitted with a large round tip, pipe a dam of whipped cream around the outside of the cake and fill it with half of the berry filling
  23. pipe a layer of whipped cream on top of the berry filling and smooth it out evenly
  24. Finish with the second layer of cake, another layer of berry filling, then whipped cream on top of that.
  25. Place the last layer of cake on top of the other layers and cover the entire cake with the leftover whipped cream. Pipe swirls on top of the cake with any leftover whipped cream if there is some. Fresh berries can be used to decorate the top of the cake.
  26. Keep the cake refrigerated until you’re ready to serve it. It is preferable if the cake is kept in an airtight container and consumed within 2-3 days.

If you’re not familiar with mascarpone, it’s a smooth and spreadable fresh cream cheese with a subtly sweet flavor that may be used in a variety of applications.
