- Keep the triangle pressed up against the pan. Find the corner of the triangle where the center of the paper will be when it is unfolded and mark that point on the triangle. This is the point at which you will be centered. This corner should be in the centre of the cake pan, with your hand holding the parchment just where it touches the side of the pan
- Make a slit in the parchment paper. Trim the triangle to approximately 1/4-inch in from the edge of the pan, using the spot where you are holding the parchment paper as a reference.
- The parchment should be unfolded. When you unfold the parchment, you’ll have a perfectly circular cake pan to work with.
