    • 14 cup all-purpose flour
    • 14 cup sugar
    • 12 tsp baking soda
    • 1/8 tsp salt
    • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 2 tbsp melted butter
    • 2 tbsp milk
    • 1 small egg
    • 1 tbsp peanut butter
    • 14 cup all-purpose flour
    • 14 cup sugar
    • 12 tsp baking soda
    • 1/8 tsp salt
    • 14 cup all-purpose flour

    Follow along with my ingredients, or substitute any other recipe you choose (check out our favorites at the bottom of this post).

    Step 1: Mix Dry Ingredients

    Step 2: Stir in Melted Butter & Milk

    Step 3: Add the Egg

    The egg is sometimes omitted from mug cake recipes, which instead call for baking soda, baking powder, or both to leaven and stiffen the cake in the same manner that an egg would.However, I strongly advise you to include an egg in addition to the soda or powder, as it will make the mug cake much richer.When you do decide to add an egg, make sure to whisk it in well, many times.If you don’t vigorously whisk the batter, you’ll end up with small particles of cooked egg whites in your cake.You may either whisk the egg before putting it to the mug or pour it directly into the mug—I prefer the latter since it means less dirty dishes for me to clean.

    Step 4: Mix Well

    Step 5: Make It Molten

    Mug cake is a good seller on its own, but a molten core elevates it to a higher level. To fill the middle of the mug, use chocolate chips, Nutella, or peanut butter. To serve: Make no attempt to press your dollop of goodness into the batter; the filling will naturally sink to the center of the baked cake as it bakes.     Keep in mind that each microwave is different, so it may take a little bit of trial and error to discover the right number for your particular recipe.When your cake is completed ‘baking,’ it should still appear somewhat damp in the middle when you cut into it.Check to see whether it’s finished by gently touching the top with a few fingers: if they stick a little, it’s finished.If your cake does not adhere to the pan, you may have cooked it for too long.In addition, if it’s still a little moist, reheat it in the microwave in 5-second increments until it’s the right, slightly sticky consistency.

    Make-Ahead Lemon-Glazed Blueberry Mug Muffins

    These lemon-glazed blueberry muffins may be cooked one at a time in the microwave if you plan ahead. Blueberry muffin desires may be satisfied on the spur of the moment thanks to the individual, preportioned portions!

    Steps

    • Place a paper baking cup in each of 12 regular-size muffin cups. 2 Bake for 20 minutes. Cooking spray should be sprayed into the insides of paper baking cups. Drain and rinse the blueberries (from the muffin mix), then set them aside. Stir the muffin mix, water, oil, and eggs together in a medium-sized mixing bowl until just combined (batter may be lumpy). Gently fold in the blueberries. 2 Spoon the batter into the muffin cups in an equal layer. Freeze for approximately 6 hours, or until totally frozen. Remove the muffins from the muffin cups and place them into two 1-gallon freezer bags, pressing out as much air as you can. Freeze for a maximum of three months.

    • Preparation: Spray the bottom of a microwaveable cup (about 12 oz) with cooking spray to form a mug muffin.     Every now and again, you just want cupcakes rather than a mug cake.Did you know that you can create cupcakes in the microwave without using a baking pan?You absolutely can, and it’s a cinch to do so!This post includes affiliate links for your convenience.Cupcakes are universally adored!

    Do you want to offer your children a little pick-me-up?Make cupcakes for a treat!Is it time for you to give yourself a little pick me up?

    1. Make some cupcakes in the microwave and enjoy them straight away.

    What do you need to make cupcakes in the microwave?

    This recipe yields approximately 9 cupcakes when used as directed.My favorite cake mix is Jiffy Golden Cake Mix, which weighs only 9 oz.Walmart is a good place to start looking.When it isn’t available, you may substitute a conventional yellow cake mix, using approximately 1 1/2 of the dry ingredients from the box instead.You’ll also need an egg, some water, and some vegetable oil for this recipe (I prefer canola).

    For the icing, I prefer to use the Pillsbury pastry frosting bags because these cupcakes are all about being quick and easy to make, which is exactly what they are.These frostings are available in three flavors: chocolate, vanilla, and cream cheese.They are already packaged in a pastry bag with a tip, so you can start frosting the cupcakes right away.

    1. It’s also possible to use colored frostings, such as these Wilton cake frostings.
    2. Alternatively, you may prepare your own buttercream frosting.
    3. Plus, what cupcake is complete without a sprinkling of sprinkles?

    You may always decorate the cupcakes with sprinkles and sanding sugar after they have been frosted.Last but not least, silicone cupcake liners will be required.The liners in that picture are the ones I use in the microwave for a variety of baked goods, from cupcakes to corn muffins.

    They perform admirably and are really simple to clean.Alternatively, you may use a silicone muffin form and place paper liners inside each of the molds.I would suggest using the 6-mold size rather than the 12-mold size since the 12-mold may be too large to turn inside the microwave.

    How do you make Cupcakes in the Microwave?

    Combine the cake mix, water, egg, and oil in a large mixing bowl and blend until smooth.When I do this, I prefer to use a portable electric mixer, though I do occasionally use my manual hand mixer.Because you don’t have to plug it in, it is rather silent.It can be entirely disassembled and placed in the dishwasher, and it performs an excellent job of whipping up fresh whipped cream.Place the liners on a flat surface that can be put in the microwave, such as a plate, and microwave for 30 seconds.

    Make sure they are at least an inch away from one another.The first time I made these cupcakes, I made the same error, and the cupcakes would rise and get glued together.After that, fill each cupcake liner approximately two-thirds of the way full.

    1. The most critical step is to microwave the cupcakes for a few minutes.
    2. You’ll want to bake 5-6 cupcakes at a time to save time.
    3. Cook them in 1-minute intervals for 3-4 minutes, until they are tender.

    Allow for 15-20 seconds of resting time in between each cooking period.Insert a toothpick or a sharp knife into the center of each cupcake at the 3-minute mark to determine whether or not they are done.The toothpick should be able to be removed cleanly.

    I discovered that my cupcakes needed to be cooked for 4 minutes in a 1000-watt microwave.This is supposing, of course, that your microwave has a spinning turntable.If you do not have a cupcake turner, flip the cupcakes every minute until they are done.This is the most effective approach I have found for producing wonderfully delicious cupcakes.If you cook them for 3-4 minutes straight through without stopping, the cupcakes will burn on the inside and smell terrible.

    1. I’ve tried several different methods to achieve this.
    2. When your cupcakes are finished baking, they will not become golden brown as they would in a conventional oven.
    3. They will rise to the top of the oven like cupcakes, but they will only be yellow in color.
    4. They should be moist and delicious when they are finished.
    5. To make the frosting, allow the cookies to cool fully before applying it.

    I place them in the refrigerator to allow them to chill more quickly.Then decorate the top with your favorite sprinkles or a drizzle of chocolate ganache, syrup, or other confectionery.

    I just left these cupcakes on the counter for 24 hours in a well sealed container, and even though I only made nine cupcakes, they were all gone the next day. If you plan to keep them for more than 48 hours, I recommend putting them in the refrigerator.

    1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and break 12 eggs into a large mixing basin to get started. Season the eggs with salt and pepper after whisking them together until fully mixed.
    2. Assemble the various filler components according to the taste suggestions listed below
    3. To prevent the egg muffins from sticking to a 12-cup muffin tray, generously brush or spray the pan with oil or nonstick spray before baking.
    4. Distribute the filling ingredients evenly among the muffin cups, and then pour the egg filling over the top, filling each cup approximately three-quarters of the way full (see note).

    • This taste combination, which is my take on the classic Country Style Omelette, has proven to be a family favorite time and time again. Breakfast has never tasted so good. Bacon (or sausage) combined with tomato, red onion, and cheddar cheese adds just the proper amount of richness and flavor to get your day started. To make these country style breakfast egg muffins, you’ll need the following ingredients: a vine-ripe tomato, diced (fresh from the garden is best, of course! ), a 14-inch red onion, brunoise sliced, and a 12-cup shredded cheddar cheese mixture.

    Following the preparation of all of the filling components, assemble and bake the morning egg muffins according to the directions provided above.
