Variations for pokemon birthday cake

  • Decorations can be prepared from scratch or purchased fondant (marshmallow fondant is a good substitute).
  • You may use the same design principle in both cases.
  • You might also experiment with other cake tastes, such as Easy Rainbow Cake (With Cake Mix) or Easy Chocolate Oreo Cake (With Cake Mix).
  • Consider experimenting with other frosting flavors, such as Caramel Frosting or even Peanut Butter Frosting.
  • Do not make a pinata cake- I filled the cake with a surprise, but you are not required to do so.
  • Instead, simply stack two cakes on top of each other and decorate.

Make a smooth icing border around the edges of the cake- I opted to cover the sides of the cake with sprinkles, but you can just leave them smooth as well.Add a cake topper- You may build or purchase a fondant topper of one of the figures and set it on top of the cake or on a cake board to complete the look.

Tips and Techniques

  • If you’re decorating a heated cake, wait until it’s entirely cold before starting since the heat will cause the icing to melt and create a sticky disaster.
  • Purchase red icing since it is quite difficult to produce handmade pure red icing and it takes many days for the color to develop fully.
  • Purchasing it will save you a significant amount of time.
  • Purchase black icing- The same may be said with black frosting, if desired.
  • It takes many days for the color to develop into a rich, dark black shade of black.
  • Purchasing it is both convenient and time-saving.

Practice first- Before you begin piping stars on top of the cake, practice on a sheet of wax paper or parchment paper first. This will help you to become familiar with how to hold the piping bag and determine how much pressure to apply to it.It enables you to become more familiar with pipes.

Storage

  • Temperature at room temperature- Once the cake is finished, place it in a cool place away from humidity, moisture, and sunshine for up to 24 hours until you are ready to serve it.
  • These would also serve as my ″prepare ahead of time″ instructions.
  • Refrigerate– A cake that has been decorated can be kept in a cake box for up to 2 days.
  • Freeze– Unfrosted cakes and frostings can be frozen for up to one month if they are kept in airtight containers or bags.
  • When you’re ready to prepare this dessert, defrost everything in the refrigerator overnight before decorating it according to the directions listed below.

How To Make A Pokemon Cake For Pikachu Lovers

  • Pikachu, you are the one I’ve chosen!
  • Pokemon is a Japanese video game franchise that was first released in 1995 and has since gained widespread popularity around the world.
  • Pikachu and his friends live in a fictitious universe where ″Pokemon″ are creatures that have been caught by humans (Pokemon trainers) and then forced into fight against one another.
  • You might remember it from the cards, the Gameboy game, and the TV series, as well as the films, music, novels, comics, and games that have come out in the intervening years.
  • It was introduced in 2016, and it has been downloaded more than a billion times since then.
  • Pokemon Go is a ″augmented reality″ application.

The Hollywood film Pokémon Detective Pikachu was released in 2019 to critical acclaim and commercial success.Despite the fact that Pikachu is officially a Pokemon species, it is easily distinguished by its yellow skin, lightning bolt tail, sharp ears, large black eyes, and red cheek markings.Pikachu is the most well-known and recognizable of all the Pokemon species, owing to the fact that it was one of the primary protagonists in the original anime television series.

  • As opposed to many other Pokemon, Pikachu follows the human characters about and interacts with them instead of remaining in a ″Pokeball.″ Pikachu has become one of the most recognizable emblems of Japanese society in recent years.
  • Because while there are several varieties of Pokemon cakes you might build (and we’ll cover some of them later), we’ll concentrate on Pikachu in this article.

Equipment

In addition to a mixing bowl and wooden spoon, four 20cm cake pans, a cake base for presentation, a palette knife, and an electric whisk are also required (optional).

Ingredients

  • In order to make the Pikachu Cake Base, you’ll need 450 grams of self-raising flour, 300 grams of sugar, 550 grams of softened butter (divided into 400 grams and 150 grams portions), 1 teaspoon of baking powder, eight eggs, six teaspoon vanilla extract, four tablespoons of milk, 175 grams of colorful sprinkles, 450 grams of icing sugar, 180 grams of full-fat cream cheese, and one tablespoon of vanilla paste.
  • To Decorate the Pikachu Cake, do the following: Red, black, and white ready-to-roll fondant, as well as brilliant yellow buttercream, were used for this cake.
  • If you can’t find pre-made buttercream, you may make your own by mixing 600g sifted icing sugar with 300g soft unsalted butter and a few drops of yellow food coloring (be sure the color is quite vibrant!).

Funfetti Cake Tutorial

  • Each and every elaborately-decorated cake begins off as a simple sponge cake (which can be made from vanilla, fruit, or chocolate batter).
  • (You get the picture.) Due to the fact that a Pikachu cake is colorful and joyful, a ‘funfetti’ sponge is an excellent match for it.
  • Here are the procedures to follow in order to create one.
  • 1) Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius/160 degrees fan.
  • Grease four 20cm cake pans with a little amount of butter (or bake in two batches).
  • 2) In a large mixing basin, cream together the sugar, 400g butter, and vanilla paste until light and fluffy (an electric whisk will save you time and energy).

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.3) Sift in the flour and baking powder, then whisk in the milk until just combined.Gently fold in the sprinkles.

  • 4) Divide the batter between the cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the tops are springy and the sides are slightly puffed.
  • Allow for 15 minutes of cooling time on a wire rack.
  • 5) Prepare the frosting by creaming together 150g of butter and half of the icing sugar until it is light and airy.
  • Combine the cream cheese and the remaining icing sugar in a large mixing bowl until everything is well-combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the vanilla paste.6) If the tops of your sponges are really uneven, use a knife to cut them flat with the grain.Scrape a layer of icing onto each one with your palette knife before stacking them together.

  1. Then, using the leftover icing, pipe thin lines around the sides of the cake (you don’t have to be flawless because it will be covered up shortly).
  2. Allow 15 minutes for the cake to set in the refrigerator.

Turning Your Cake Into A Pikachu: DIY Tutorial

  • With this step, you’ll have a lovely four-layer birthday cake with tasty and sticky icing on the outside and a colorful, sprinkle-filled inside.
  • So, how is this going to be transformed into a Pikachu cake?
  • Please continue reading.
  • 1) Using a palette knife, spread a thick layer of your bright buttercream all over the top and edges of your cake.
  • 2) Roll out your fondant in three colors: black, red, and white (if you prefer, you can use food colouring to dye white fondant rather than buying three backs).
  • Use icing sugar on your counter top to keep it from clinging to the surface.

Create Pikachu’s red cheeks with a small cookie cutter or other round form, then cut out two smaller circles for his black eyes and two even smaller circles for his white pupils using a tiny cookie cutter or other round shape.Make a face shape out of them and stick them to the edge of your cake!To make the ears, trace your desired form onto a piece of cardboard so that you have something even to cut around while you are cutting around it.

  • Cut around the shape in yellow fondant with a knife using a sharp blade.
  • They should be rather thick, and they should be topped with a small amount of the black fondant (optional) (use a picture for reference).
  • Teethpicks or longer wooden sticks, if you have them, can be used to hold them erect on top of the Pokemon cake.

Pikachu Cake Tips And Tricks

  • Depending on the quantity of the portions, this Pikachu cake should serve 12-14 people.
  • If kept covered and at room temperature, it will survive for three days.
  • If you wait any longer, the Pikachu cakes should be placed uncovered in the refrigerator for 15 minutes before being wrapped with plastic wrap.
  • Even though freezing the decorations is not recommended due to the risk of them becoming damaged, freezing the funfetti foundation is OK for up to 3 months.
  • If you want to make your birthday cake gluten free for people who have gluten allergies, all you have to do is replace out the self-raising flour with gluten-free self-raising flour and make sure you buy gluten-free sprinkles to complete the transformation.
  • Make this cake dairy-free by replacing the eggs, butter, and milk with 115ml sunflower oil, 400ml almond or soya milk, 3 tbsp golden syrup, and 400g flour instead of the original ingredients.

Vegan buttercream may be produced with dairy-free butter substitutes such as coconut oil.

Introduction: Pokémon Go Cake!

  • Which team are you a member of?
  • Is there anyone who has all of the legendary Pokemon?
  • Have you ever found yourself in unusual situations?
  • Who’s up for a Pokemon Go-themed birthday cake?
  • The chances of you being addicted are quite high if you answered yes to any of these questions!;) In the comments box below, please share whatever you know about this.
  • I’d want to know everything about it!

After you’ve told me everything about how fantastic Pokemon Go is, have a look at how I created this amazing cake!

Step 1: Fondant Pokemon

  • This tutorial will walk you through the easy stages of how to manufacture fondant Pokemon Go decorations, but it will not teach you how to assemble the actual cake.
  • We will begin with a cake that has already been coated in fondant.
  • Top layer (6 inch) is coated in a mint green fondant, while the bottom tier (8 inch) is covered in a dark blue fondant.
  • All right, let’s get this Pokemon thing started!
  • Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur were the characters I created for this cake request.
  • Drawing out all of the Pokemon on paper and cutting them out to make patterns is the first step.

Pikachu and Charmander will be the focus of the next instructions, which will outline the methods for both Pokémon. You will soon get the concept of how to put the pieces together and will be able to go on to the other Pokemon without more instruction!!There are photographs available.

  • Pikachu-
  1. To make Pikachu, you’ll need fondant in the colors yellow, red, white, and black. A flat character is easy to make if you’ve never worked with fondant before
  2. it doesn’t take much time or effort.
  3. To make the pattern, roll out a piece of yellow fondant very thin (about 1/16 of an inch thick) with a rolling pin and press it into the fondant with your fingers. Allow for a small hardening of the fondant before cutting. This will make it easier to cut, and the lines will be cleaner when they are finished. Sometimes fondant can stick to your knife if you attempt to cut it immediately after rolling it out. No bueno
  4. Using a sharp knife cut around the design. Remove any remaining fondant and set it aside.
  5. Then, using a small piece of black fondant and a round piping tip, cut out two small circles
  6. slightly elongate them, and use clear vanilla extract or vodka, along with a small food-safe paint brush, to adhere them where the eyes should be.
  7. To make the eyes, roll out a small piece of white fondant and cut two circles that are slightly smaller than the eyes. Adhere them on the black circles to finish the eyes
  8. Small circles of red fondant (the same size as the black circles) should be rolled out and cut into two small circles (the same size as the black circles)
  9. elongate them slightly and adhere them where the cheeks should be
  10. Prepare the black food coloring by mixing a small amount (about the size of a pea) of black food coloring with two or three drops of clear vanilla extract or vodka in a small prep bowl. Mix well
  11. \sUsing a very small/thin food safe paintbrush paint the contours, borders, and face of Pikachu
  12. \sSet away to solidify. If I know it’s going to be a while before I am ready to assemble the cake I like to place flat decorations on something with a slight curve. This will allow the pieces to form to the cake later. If they harden on a flat surface you will not be able to form them. If you try to bend them they will most likely crack or break

Charmander-

  1. Copper fondant, light yellow fondant, dark yellow fondant, white fondant, red fondant, blue fondant, and black fondant will be needed to make Charmander.
  2. To make the pattern, roll out a piece of copper fondant extremely thin (approximately 1/16 of an inch thick) using a rolling pin and set it on top of it
  3. Using a sharp knife, cut around the design to create a border. Do not remove any extra fondant at this time.
  4. Cut out the design for the arm, tail, eyes, and belly a second time.
  5. Cut out the arm design with any leftover copper fondant that you have. Remove any remaining fondant and set it aside.
  6. A little piece of light yellow fondant is rolled out and cut out using the belly pattern to make a belly shape
  7. Clear vanilla essence or vodka should be used to adhere the belly, and the arm should be adhered so that it overhang the belly.
  8. Create the eyeballs design with a little piece of white fondant that has been rolled out and sliced around it. Because they are such little bits, make sure your fondant has had a chance to solidify a little before you begin. It will make it much easy to cut little bits of material
  9. Roll suitable colors for essential parts and glue them with extract or vodka as you go
  10. don’t stop until everything is done.
  11. Making use of a very small/thin food-safe paintbrush, paint the contours and borders, the insides of Charmander’s eyes, as well as the face of Charmander. If your food coloring mixture begins to dry out, simply add a few more drops of extract or vodka until it is no longer liquid. Allow to solidify. Remember that if you have a slightly curved surface to allow the character to dry, it will be the most effective method. Even if you can’t locate anything and you know where you want the figure to be placed on the cake, you should go ahead and place him or her on the cake as soon as it’s finished.
  12. Carry out the same procedure with the remaining characters.

Step 2: Pokemon Go Fondant Map

It was crucial for me to include the all-important Pokemon Go map on this cake since following the map in order to discover Pokemon is the entire point of the game! To make the map parts, you’ll need the colors yellow, medium blue, green, and light blue on your color wheel.

  1. Make two separate sheets of yellow and medium blue fondant, each of which should be quite thin.
  2. To make the medium blue fondant stripes, cut 1/2 inch strips and lay one strip at a time on the yellow fondant, leaving roughly a 1/8 inch border on one side. Cut the opposite side, leaving a 1/8-inch boarder on the other side. This is a road
  3. this is a path.
  4. It should be adhered to the top tier of the cake using essence or vodka
  5. and
  6. You may create as many roads as you like! It will be necessary to cut the yellow fondant by approximately 1/8 inch shorter than the top medium blue layer in order to attach two sections of road together. (See photographs for examples.)
  7. Once you’ve got all of your roads laid out just way you want them, you can start adding some other things. The majority of the features in Pokemon Go maps are water features, parks, residences, and buildings.
  8. Roll out the light blue fondant and cut it into 1/2-inch strips with a pizza cutter or knife. Remove from the box and put along the roadside in squares or rectangles
  9. Roll out the green fondant and cut out the park shapes that you choose. Adhere to the’map’ at all times

Step 3: Team Instinct Logo/Icon

  • When it came to this cake request, Team Instinct was the obvious choice.
  • To make the team icon, use the identical steps as you did for the figures, except that you will cut out two fondant backdrop pieces instead of one.
  • Place one of the back pieces on a flat surface and press two wooden skewers or thin dowels into the fondant to hold it together (see photo).
  • Place the second backdrop piece on top of the first and cover with the extract.
  • Apply the Team Instinct icon in the same manner as you did with the Pokemon icon.

Step 4: Pokemon Go Plus

To create a 3 inch Pokemon Go Plus emblem for use as an accent element on the map, you’ll need black, white, and red fondant, among other supplies. For this phase, I just free-handed the form; however, you could write out a template to make it a little easier.

  1. The black fondant should be at least 3.5 inches by 3.5 inches in size. Roll out each color of fondant individually.
  2. Make a 2 inch circle of red fondant with a cookie cutter. The circular should be cut in half and adhered to the black fondant with a drop of extract
  3. Remove the opposite half of the upside-down teardrop form from the paper. It should be adhered underneath the red fondant, leaving a 1/8-inch gap with black peeking through.
  4. Cut the black fondant around the emblem, leaving a border around it.
  5. Set aside for a while to harden

Step 5: Fondant Pokemon Go Logo

To make the Pokemon Go logo, you’ll need fondant in the colors red, black, white, and dark blue, among other colors (same color as the bottom tier of the cake).

  1. The white, black, and dark blue fondant should be rolled out individually. Because these characters are so comprehensive, ‘GO’ is a short word, which is fortunate.
  2. Dark blue fondant is cut into two 1.5-inch circles with a round cutter. Make a letter ‘G’ out of one of the circles. Using the second blue circle as a template, cut a smaller circle out of the middle to form a ‘O’ shape.
  3. Cut out two somewhat bigger white circles and stick the letters on the white circles using double-sided tape
  4. Cut out two black circles that are even slightly larger than the letter circles and stick them to the backs of the letter circles.
  5. Make a Pokeball to go in the center of the ‘O’ by cutting out one red circle and one white circle from the paper. Make a ‘O’ out of each circle by cutting it in half and placing the red half on top of the white half
  6. Cut a tiny circle of white fondant and a small circle of black fondant and press the white circle on top of the black circle so that a border of black surrounds the white circle. Adhere to the center of the Pokeball with a very thin snake of white fondant
  7. assemble the Pokeball. Reduce the size of these to fit across the letters to form the horizon.
  8. Make little holes at the top half of each letter (to represent the stars) using a needle.
  9. Excess fondant of any color should be rolled out into two 3/4-inch balls. Flatten the balls to a thickness of about 1/8 inch. Using a toothpick, poke a hole in the fondant and coat it with a thin layer of vanilla essence before carefully pressing the letter ‘G’ on top of it. Remove from the oven and set aside to dry and solidify

Step 6: 3D Fondant Poke Stops

As an alternative to the Team Instinct bird, I added a few simple Poke Stops to the cake to give it a little more height. A light blue fondant sheet, as well as toothpicks, will be required for this phase.

  1. To cover half of a toothpick with fondant, roll the fondant around the toothpick (in a single direction only) until the fondant sticks.
  2. Fondant should be cut into a cube form.
  3. Make a thick square form out of fondant
  4. set aside.
  5. Make a clean cut in the center of the thick square with your toothpick.
  6. In order to avoid the cube going completely through the toothpick, position it on top of the square form.
  7. Set away until the assembly is complete.

Step 7: Pokemon Go Cake Assembly

This is the exciting phase, and it is here that you may express yourself freely. Almost all of the parts are done and ready to be placed on the cake in any configuration.

  1. I made a border for the bottom of my bottom layer by rolling a long piece of white fondant (about 25 inches long) and cutting it into a 1/2 inch strip at the bottom of the cake. I used vanilla extract to glue it to the wall. The border was created with the intention of giving the Pokemon more height. My opinion was that they were a little too small/short, therefore I wanted to move them a little higher on the tier.
  2. To add interest to the Pokemon, cut out some white fondant stars with star cookie cutters and arrange them around the Pokemon.
  3. Add a Pokémon to the top tier by using the extract
  4. place the Pokemon Go Plus symbol in the center of the top tier. It creates a pleasing visual contrast with the map’s hues.
  5. Press the ‘GO’ logo in the right-front center of the cake’s top and the team insignia a little farther back to the left to complete the design. Poke stations may be placed wherever you like.

Take a step back and appreciate your efforts. Eat, drink, and then go out and capture some more Pokemon!

Pokémon Cake and Cupcakes

As a result, I created this Pokémon Cake and Cupcakes for my son’s 9th birthday celebration. It was eight months ago today!Okay, so it took me a long to get around to posting about it.Sorry.But they turned out so well that I didn’t want you to lose out on them.

If you’re interested in learning how to make the Pokémon Cake and Cupcakes, I’ve put up a lesson for you.Interested?I made these gorgeous Pikachu and Snorlax Cupcakes, as well as the Pokéball Cake, out of red velvet cake, buttercream icing, and fondant.

  • I also made the Pokéball Cake out of fondant.
  • In case you weren’t aware, this little fellow is known as Pikachu.
  • Pokémon is one of the most well-known characters from cartoons, movies, and video games, and he has a lot of fans.

Now that my kid is almost ten, he isn’t as enthusiastic about Pokémon as he once was, but I’m sure there are plenty of young boys and girls who are still enthusiastic. The easiest approach to ensure that your cake will come out of the oven after baking is to cover the bottom of the pan with parchment paper before baking.I prefer to place the cake pan on the paper and trace around it with a Sharpie marker, then cut slightly within the line with scissors, so that there are no pen markings on the liner of the cake pan.(Please keep in mind that the marker will go on your pan, so if you don’t want that, you might want to avoid using this approach.) I baked the cake in an 8-inch round cake pan.I prepared this cake from scratch, however I wouldn’t suggest the recipe because it turned out a touch too dry for my tastes.I’ve made the red velvet cake mix several times and it always turns out beautifully.

  1. Duncan Hines is a brand that I enjoy using.
  2. Using one cake mix, you may make one 8-inch round cake layer and twelve cupcakes.
  3. In this case, I used buttercream frosting, but you could use any other cream cheese buttercream recipe you choose.
  4. Frosting should be placed in a large pastry bag equipped with an Ateco807 tip.
  5. Pipe the frosting in a circular motion with a pastry bag.
  6. Due to the fact that you’ll be placing the Pokémon adornment on top, you don’t want it to be very high.

You will need fondant in the following colors: white, red, yellow, blue, and black.Make a dusting pouch by purchasing a NEW knee-high stocking (panty hose) and filling it with cornstarch before tying it closed at the end with a rubber band.Tap it on the counter a few times to gently dust the surface with cornstarch, which will prevent the fondant from sticking.A tiny rolling pin, one (1 7/8′′) round biscuit cutter, one (2 3/8′′) round biscuit cutter (not seen), a Fondant Ribbon Cutter, an Ateco807 pastry tip, and Wilton pastry tips 12, 3, and 2 were the tools I used to make the Pokémon characters out of fondant.I used a combination of blue fondant, white fondant, and a small amount of yellow fondant to create the Snorlax hue.You may locate a photo of Snorlax on the internet that you can use as a reference.

See also:  When Is National Cake Day?

I used a 2 3/8′′ round biscuit cutter to cut circles out of the fondant after it had been rolled out. After that, I used the bottom of the Ateco807 tip to cut a half circle off of the top of the jar. Then, using the 12 tip, cut two smaller half circles off either side of the larger circle to form the ears.To make the white component of the Snorlax, roll out the white fondant and cut smaller circles with the 1 7/8′′ round biscuit cutter to make smaller circles.

  • Next, using a knife, cut a triangle off of the top of the circle to make it more rectangular.
  • With your fingertips, gently round the corners.
  • Make use of your fingers and a small amount of water to moisten the back of the white piece before gluing it to the blue piece.
  • Roll out yellow fondant and cut circles out of it with the larger biscuit cutter to make Pikachu.

Using a knife, cut out triangle shapes.Roll out a small amount of crimson fondant and a little amount of black fondant on a lightly floured surface.Cut the red circles with the back side of the tip12, and then cut the black circles with the other side of the tip12 to complete the design.Attach the various sections of Pikachu’s face together with a small amount of water. To finish off the faces, pipe the remaining features with icing.

I used a 2 pastry tip to pipe the black face characteristics on the cake after coloring part of the buttercream black. To finish off the white face features, I piped them using the 3 tip and the white buttercream. In order to make the Pokeball, ice half of the cake with red frosting and half with white icing. To make a strip of black fondant to go along the centre of the cake, use the fondant ribbon cutter to cut it out.

  • Tip807 is used for the black fondant circle on the left and tip807 on the right for the white center circle on the right.
  • The preparation of this cake may take some additional time, but it will be well worth it when you see the expression on their face when it is completed.
  • Take, for example, Exhibit A.
  • On the occasion of his ninth birthday party, my son, Luke, was present.
  • I believe he enjoyed his cake!

For the cake:

1 box red velvet cake mix, made in accordance with the packaging directions 16.5 ounces (468 grams)

For the frosting

  • Unsalted butter, softened at room temperature (1 cup). 2 sticks of butter
  • 3-4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract (use clear vanilla flavoring for a whiter frosting)
  • red food coloring (I used Wilton brand, no taste red)
  • black food coloring (I used Wilton brand, no taste black)
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 3-4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract (use clear vanilla flavoring for a whiter frosting)
  • 2 sticks of butter (I used Wilton brand, I used Wilton brand ready-made fondant in the colors white, red, yellow, blue, and black.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare an 8-inch round cake pan by lining it with parchment paper. Spray the parchment with nonstick cooking spray before and after laying it on the baking sheet. Prepare a 12-cup muffin pan by lining it with cupcake liners. Set aside while you make the cake mix according to the box directions. Fill each of the 12 muffin cups halfway with batter, then pour the remaining batter into the prepared cake pan. Baking time for the cupcakes is 20 minutes, and for the cake it is 25 minutes. Allow to cool

For the frosting:

  • Using an electric or stand mixer, cream softened butter on medium speed until smooth. Beat for 3 minutes, or until the mixture is smooth and creamy. While the mixer is running, slowly add the powdered sugar, cream, and vanilla extract. Increase the pace to a high level and continue to beat for 3 minutes. If the frosting is too thin, add more powdered sugar, and if the mixture is too thick, add more cream.
  • 1 1/2 cups of frosting should be colored red, and 1/3 cup of icing should be colored black. Remove from consideration

For decorations:

  • Fill a large pastry bag equipped with an Ateco807 tip with white frosting and seal the bag shut with a rubber band. Using a circular motion, pipe the icing onto the cupcakes. In order to accommodate the Pokémon decoration on top, you need keep it from getting too high.
  • Half of the cake should be frosted with red icing, and half should be frosted with white frosting.

For the fondant decorations:

  • Purchase a fresh knee-high stocking and fill it with cornstarch, then tie a knot at the bottom of the stocking to create a dusting stocking. Tap it on the counter a few times to gently dust the surface with cornstarch to prevent the fondant from sticking
  • To make the Snorlax, combine blue fondant, white fondant, and a little amount of yellow fondant in a mixing bowl. You may locate a photo of Snorlax on the internet that you can use as a reference. To cut circles out of the fondant, roll it out and use a 2 3/8-inch round cutter ″biscuit cutter in the shape of a circle Next, using the bottom of the Ateco807 tip, cut a half circle off of the top of the ice cream cone. Then, using the 12 tip, cut two smaller half circles off either side of the larger circle to form the ears. Roll out the white fondant and cut smaller circles using the 1 7/8-inch round cutter to make the white half of Snorlax ″biscuit cutter in the shape of a circle Next, using a knife, cut a triangle off of the top of the circle to make it more rectangular. With your fingertips, gently round the corners. Make use of your fingers and a small amount of water to moisten the back of the white piece before gluing it to the blue piece. Pikachu is made by rolling yellow fondant and cutting circles using a larger biscuit cutter. There are six Snorlax faces to make. Using a knife, cut out triangle shapes. Roll out a small amount of crimson fondant and a little amount of black fondant on a lightly floured surface. Cut the red circles with the back side of the tip12, and then cut the black circles with the other side of the tip12 to complete the design. Attach the various sections of Pikachu’s face together with a small amount of water. Make 6 Pikachu faces, and then use frosting to add the final elements to the faces with a pastry bag. To pipe the black face features, use black frosting in a pastry bag fitted with a 2 pastry tip. Using the white buttercream and the #3 tip, I pipe the white face features onto the cake. Finished! Allow for approximately one hour of drying time. Once you’ve finished assembling the cupcakes, attach the faces to the tops of the frosted cupcakes with a fondant ribbon cutter. To assemble the Pokeball, use a fondant ribbon cutter to cut a strip of black fondant to fit along the centre of a round cake. To make the black fondant circle, use tip807’s back side
  • to make the white center circle, use tip807’s top side.
  • Store in an airtight jar at room temperature overnight, or in the refrigerator for up to 3 days in advance.

Tools required: a small rolling pin, one round biscuit cutter (1 7/8″), one round biscuit cutter (2 3/8″), a fondant ribbon cutter, an Ateco807 pastry tip, and Wilton pastry tips12,3, and2 are all recommended. In addition, a dusting pouch (see instructions.) 212 kcal |28 g carbohydrates |1 g protein |11 g fat |

Easy Easter Bunny Cake Recipe with Fondant Bunny Ears!

This Easter Bunny Cake is quick and easy to create, and it looks fantastic! A simple coconut cake recipe that is enjoyable to prepare with children to commemorate the occasion!

Easter Bunny Cake

You have arrived at the right place if you’re seeking for a fun dessert to bake for Easter.Aside from a few decorations made of fondant, it’s a really straightforward cake to put together, and the finished product looks like you put in a lot of effort! All you need is some white fondant, a small amount of black fondant, and the ingredients to make the coconut cake.Speaking of the coconut cake, it’s a variation on my favorite Moist Vanilla Cake, but with a coconut flavoring and a coconut cream cheese icing instead of the traditional cream cheese. It’s very delicious!

Not only is the cream cheese frosting tasty, but it also serves as an excellent backdrop for the addition of the shredded coconut ″bunny fur.″ Because the cream cheese frosting is inherently sticky, it does a good job of holding on to the coconut on top of the cake. The entire cake is just as wonderful as it is adorable!

How to make an Easter Bunny Cake

So, before you begin preparing this cake, you’ll want to consider the many options for the embellishments. You’ll need to create the ears, eyes, and nose for your character. There are only three components, but the ears, in particular, need significant forethought. You’ll want to start working on the ears at least 3-5 days ahead of time. The sooner you can get them to us, the better, so they have time to dry out and firm up.

If they don’t have time, they’ll just be some really floppy bunny ears that aren’t what you’re looking for at all.The eyes and nose can be formed right before they are placed on the cake, or they can be done ahead of time.If you opt to create them just before putting them on the cake, simply be sure to set aside a small amount of white fondant for the nose beforehand.

How to Make Fondant Bunny Ears

You’ll need white fondant to make the rabbit ears, which you can get here.Separate off approximately a tablespoon of the mixture to use for the nose, and then set aside the remainder for the ear.Make two balls of fondant, one slightly larger than the other, and place them on a baking sheet. The larger size will be used for the white section of the ears, which is the larger of the two.Make a rough roll of your fondant and check to see if it has appropriate height and width.

My ears were around 7 inches in height. To cut out the white sections of the ears, you could either do it by hand and by eyeballing it, or you could draw the ears out on a piece of paper and cut them out to use as a template for cutting out the white parts. The advantage of using a pattern is that you may be confident that you will cut out a form that you like.

  • The wonderful thing with fondant, on the other hand, is that you can always start over if you aren’t satisfied with the results of your first attempt.
  • Using a fondant sheet, roll out the pink inner portion of the year, either by eye or by pattern, trim it to the appropriate size and shape, and then trace and cut out of the fondant.
  • When you have completed all of your fondant pieces, use a small amount of water to glue the pink pieces to the white ones.

In order to have a small portion of one ear folded over, like mine, wrap up a small piece of paper towel and use it to hold the tip of the ear that is folded over while it is drying.Remove the paper towel once it has dried completely, and it will remain in place. One thing to keep in mind regarding the ears is that, although though they will dry out, as they come into touch with the frosting on the cake, they will slowly begin to wet again as a result of the moisture contained within the cake. It’s acceptable if your ears will only be resting on the cake for around 30 minutes at most.If it’s going to be longer, I’d consider tying skewers to the backs of the ears to keep them in place. All you have to do is put some fondant over the back of each ear and the skewer will be securely attached to the ear.

  1. Allow everything to dry completely before proceeding.
  2. The skewer will provide support for your ears while they wet, allowing them to remain in place.

Fondant Bunny Eyes and Nose

In contrast to the rabbit ears and nose, which are a little more complicated and may be produced ahead of time or not, In order to make the eyes, you’ll cut off little pieces of black fondant (about the size of a chickpea) and roll them out lengthwise until they’re approximately the length you want for the eye.Make a gentle curve with your fingers to give it an appealing curved appearance.Take another smaller piece of black fondant and roll it out, then glue it to the other piece with a tiny amount of water.Constructed two eyeballs and adhered them to the cake with a small amount of water if necessary.Always feel free to move a small amount of the shredded coconut out of the way, and they should adhere to the cream cheese frosting rather effectively as well.

To make the nose, tint roughly a spoonful of white fondant with pink gel icing color and roll it out into a cone shape.Make a charming tiny nose out of paper and glue it on the cake when it’s finished.

How to Assemble this Coconut Easter Cake

Every one of your fondant embellishments will be placed on top of your coconut cake. The creaming process is used to produce this dish, which is pretty simple to prepare.Once your cake layers are done, stack them together and spread the coconut cream cheese frosting on top of each layer. Then you’ll add the shredded coconut to the mixture.I prefer to use my hand to delicately press the coconut onto the edges of the cake rather than a pastry brush.

As I make my way around the circle, I begin at the bottom and work my way up.It’s quite simple to make, and it adheres wonderfully to the cream cheese icing. The final step is to decorate with those lovely fondant embellishments!

  • You’ll have a festive and delicious cake at the end of it all!
  • In addition to being a delightful cake to bake with children, this Easter Bunny Cake is unquestionably suited for the holiday.
  • They can assist with the fondant and even assist with the baking of the cake and pressing the coconut onto the icing if they want to get really engaged.

It would be a nice activity to do with all of the kids at home right now!Recipes can be printed
