The Best Vegan Vanilla Cake Recipe
Everyone is in need of a foolproof Vanilla Cake Recipe. You’ve come to the right place! You’ve got it! That means you’ve found the best vegan vanilla cake recipe out there! I’m often surprised by which recipes become popular on the internet, and this one is so straightforward that I honestly didn’t expect it to get any attention. But, boy, was I mistaken!
This recipe is getting shared by the thousands daily all over social media!
If that isn’t enough proof to convince you that you don’t need to search any further, I don’t know what is! This is, without a doubt, my go-to recipe for everything and anything involving vanilla cake. This cake is really light and fluffy, and it is the closest thing you will ever find to a vegan white cake.
By using golden flax meal for the egg replacer instead of brown flax meal you won’t even see the flecks!
I used this recipe to make perfect cupcakes, incredible cake layers, and even a winner as lady fingers sponge cake, which I used to make my Tiramisu Cheesecake.
Before we get started I want to share a really awesome recent comment from someone regarding this exact recipe.
″Thank you so much, thank you so much!″ she said.My mother has been unsuccessful in her attempts to locate a vegan cake recipe in which the cake remains solid and ‘together’ enough to be readily decorated.I just finished baking this vanilla cake, which I created with a hand mixer and removed from the oven twice. It had to be put back in since it didn’t appear to be finished.
(I’m not a professional baker!) Despite this, everything went up beautifully! Our family was really pleased with how well the cake stood up to the decorating process, and we are now considering utilizing this recipe for a wedding cake.″Thank you one again!″ What an incredible accomplishment! When people tell me how much they enjoy my dishes, it is the finest form of recompense for me.So when I say ″this is the finest″ (which I frequently say about my recipes!), I’m not exaggerating.

The cake can keep fresh for up to a day at room temperature, but I like to store it in the refrigerator for a longer shelf life of up to 1 week (in the refrigerator). I do not recommend freezing vegan cakes since the texture will be damaged, resulting in a very dense and heavy cake when thawed. 3.5.32513.5.3251

2. Italian Meringue Buttercream
You may claim that this Italian filling is a distant relative of the American Buttercream, based on the final name of the filling.Actually, it is, with the main variation being that, in addition to butter, melted sugar syrup and egg whites are also used to make the cake.It would be preferable, though, if you had a mixer stand so that you could pour the components at the appropriate moment. The mixing process begins with the egg whites being beaten first, then the sugar syrup being added while still beating before adding the butter.
In order to determine whether your Italian Meringue is ready or not, turn your bowl upside down and see whether it falls off.If it does not, your Meringue is ready to be utilized.
3. Swiss Meringue Buttercream
Swiss Meringue Buttercream is another another member of the Buttercream family to be discovered.Although this recipe is quite similar to the Italian one, the only difference is that instead of using a mixer stand, a double boiler bowl is used to allow the egg whites to get boiled while the Meringue is being prepared. In addition, because we are already using a double boiler to prepare the Meringue, we substitute icing sugar for the sugar.Additionally, you can flavor all of the Buttercreams listed above by adding fruit essences to the recipe, and you may color them by adding a few drops of food coloring.
4. French Buttercream
When compared to the Italian Meringue Buttercream and the Swiss Meringue Buttercream, the French Buttercream uses only butter, granulated sugar, and egg yolks to create its texture. When combined with the buttercream, the egg yolks impart a rich richness while having little influence on its lightness. All of the buttercreams may be used in a cake in a variety of ways; some bakers layer the cake sponges with them, some use them to garnish cupcakes, and in certain bakeries overseas, Meringue Buttercream is used as a cookie.
5. German Buttercream
It is possible to classify German Buttercream as an experimental member of the Buttercream family.Reason?Simply because of the components that go into it, which include butter, icing sugar, egg yolks, and some cooked flour, when all of these factors join together to produce the German Buttercream more rich and soft to eat, it is called ″German Buttercream.″ This Buttercream, which is commonly found in German bakeries, is renowned for its richness.
6. Ermine Buttercream
It is the Ermine Buttercream that is properly cooked, as opposed to the other members of the Buttercream family.Ermine Buttercream is well-known for using a custard-like base of flour-thickened milk to combine with butter and sugar to create a rich, creamy texture. This dish does not include any eggs, making it a great choice for vegetarians and those who follow a vegan diet.Ermine Buttercream, like all other Buttercreams, is also noted for its ability to hold its form when piped.
To present, the Ermine Buttercream is light and fluffy with a smooth texture. Many individuals enjoy chocolate fillings in their cakes, pastries, cupcakes, and other baked goods in addition to these buttercream fillings. So, for those who enjoy chocolate, here is an extra filling for you.Take a look at this.

What You’ll Need To Make Marble Cake
Most recipes for marble cake call for only cocoa powder for the chocolate element of the cake, which is a common practice. To give the cake a richer, more powerful flavor, I like to use real chocolate as well; this makes the chocolate swirl component of the cake taste almost like a brownie. If you don’t want to spend the money on an entire carton of buttermilk for this recipe, you may easily make your own.Using a liquid measuring cup, pour 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or white vinegar into the container.
Then, fill the 1-cup line with ordinary milk and set aside for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the milk has slightly curdled and thickened.
The Method
This butter cake is classified as a ″high-ratio″ cake, which indicates that the weight of the sugar is equal to or more than the weight of the flour in this recipe. What is the significance of this?High-ratio cakes can be created using the ″high-ratio″ or ″quick-mix″ method, which is less time-consuming than the more popular ″creaming″ approach (in which the butter and sugar are creamed together before the eggs, flour, and liquid are added). This includes first mixing together all of the dry ingredients with the butter and a portion of the liquid, and then adding the remaining liquid components until everything is well combined.
Not only is this process quicker and easier to use than the classic creaming procedure, but it also produces cakes that are exceptionally soft and fine-textured.
How To Make Marble Cake
A small saucepan with the cocoa powder, 1/2 cup of the sugar, and water is ideal for this recipe.Simmer over high heat, whisking constantly, until the sauce is completely smooth.Remove the pan from the heat and immediately add the chocolate, whisking constantly until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.Make a mental note to put it away.
In a medium-sized mixing basin, whisk together the buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract.Whisk the ingredients together and set them aside. The mixture will begin to look curdled as it stands; this is just normal.Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and the remaining 2 cups of sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment or beaters.Beat on a low speed for 30 seconds to blend the ingredients together. In a separate bowl, combine the softened butter with half of the buttermilk mixture and beat on low speed for approximately 1 minute, or until moistened but still a bit crumbly.
- With the mixer running on low speed, slowly add the remaining buttermilk mixture until it is completely mixed.
- Increase the speed to medium and mix for three minutes, pausing briefly to scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl with a rubber spatula once the mixing is through.
- The batter should be light and creamy in appearance.
- Scrape along the edges and bottom of the bowl once more to ensure that the batter is equally distributed throughout.
- Transfer approximately 2-1/2 cups of the batter to a medium-sized mixing basin, and stir in the chocolate mixture until well combined.
- This is your chocolate batter, which you should whisk until smooth.
Half of the leftover vanilla batter should be poured into a Bundt pan that has been buttered.Pour the chocolate batter on top of the cake.Finish by spooning the leftover vanilla batter over the chocolate layer (don’t worry about entirely covering the chocolate layer with the vanilla batter).Mix the batters together in a circular motion with a butter knife, moving three times around the pan.
- Remove from the oven and set aside.
- It’s fine if the batters don’t appear to be swirling; this is normal.
- It’s critical not to overswirl the ball.
- Bake for 60 to 70 minutes, or until a cake tester inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Prepare the glaze while the cake is baking.
