Carlo’s Bakery has leased space inside the facility, which is being used to provide more room for the production of specialty cakes as well as the capacity to produce baked items for export throughout the United States and Canada.Since Carlo’s Bakery only has a limited amount of space at its Hoboken location, it was not possible for the bakery to ship cakes beyond a reasonable driving distance from the bakery; however, the bakery had conducted a limited trial Internet sale of pies in October 2009 in order to determine the feasibility of selling baked goods on the Internet.Located at 226 West 44th Street in the heart of New York City’s Times Square, the Carlo’s Bakery Cake Boss Cafe officially opened its doors on May 24, 2011, as part of the Discovery Times Square Exposition.Carlo’s Bakery’s smaller baked items, as well as bakery and Cake Boss merchandise, are available at this location.
